On September 1st, 2024, the Presidium of the European Confederation of Dance Sports (ECDS) held a significant meeting, with one of the main agenda items being the approval of new member organizations. In a single session, the Presidium made a landmark decision, welcoming three new organizations into the ECDS family: Georgian Dance Sport Association, Moldova Dance Sport Association, and Maccabi Bravo from Israel.
Each of these organizations was granted Provisional Member status, marking an important step in strengthening the presence and influence of ECDS on the European continent. This expansion not only enhances the organization’s footprint but also creates new opportunities for collaboration and the development of dance sport across these regions.
The addition of these three organizations demonstrates the growing reach and appeal of the ECDS, as it continues to unite national dance sport bodies under a shared vision of promoting and developing dance sports across Europe and beyond. As Provisional Members, these organizations are committed to adhering to the principles and standards set by the ECDS and will work towards full membership in the future.
This development represents a significant boost for the Confederation and its mission, further solidifying its role as a leading force in the world of dance sport.
